When will championship play start?
Ans. Championship bracket play is scheduled to start on Wednesday, 02
August 2006 about two(2) to four(4) hours after the completion of pool play.
Will
teams draw into a pre-seeded championship bracket?
Ans. Yes. A team representative from each team will contact the
Tournament Championship Draw Subcommittee within 30 minutes after completion of
their team's pool play to draw into the Championship bracket. The ASA
championship bracket are already prepared and seeded prior to the tournament for
teams that finish first through fourth place in pool play. Example: If there are
64 teams in the tournament there will be sixteen (16) pools of four (4) teams
each. This results in sixteen (16) teams that finished first in their respective
pools will draw into one of sixteen (16) first place positions on a pre-seeded
approved ASA championship bracket. The teams that finish second, third and
fourth will draw in the same manner.
