Metro St. Louis ASA/John Greiner Memorial--$500
Three STL ASA J.O. participants received scholarships totaling $2500 in
2000. The winners of the four scholarship were (Left to right) Jennifer
Rice, Melanie Wallach, Lorri Fehlker and Meghan D'Urso (pictured
with Rich Willis ,St. Louis ASA Commissioner). St. Louis ASA has awarded scholarships to deserving ASA athletes
every season dating back to 1986, totaling $31,000.
2001 Awards

Metro St. Louis ASA/John Greiner Memorial--$500
Eligibility: All High School Seniors, with verification of intent to further their education by attending an accredited two or four year college. The student must be a rostered player on a Metro St. Louis A.S.A. registered Junior Olympic Team during the current season.
Information Required: Complete a Metro St. Louis A.S.A. Junior Olympic Scholarship application.
Two letters of reference from their present school officials (counselor, coach, principal, teacher, etc.)
One personal reference from an employer, clergyman, or other community
source.
A letter from the Manager/Coach of their Junior Olympic Team.
A letter from the applicant stating their plans and goals in life.
Acceptance Dates: Application and other documents must be returned to
the Metro St. Louis A.S.A. Commissioner between February 1st and May 31st.

Award process: Winners will be selected by July 1 of the current season by a committee of three appointed by the Commissioner. Winners will be announced at Junior Olympic St. Louis A.S.A. Class "A" Metro Championships.
