Combat’s Lady Virus VIRSP3 Bat no longer authorized for use
The Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, today announced that the softball bat model VIRSP3 Lady Virus manufactured by the CE Composites, Inc. (DBA Combat) is no longer authorized for use in ASA Championship Play.

Bids are now being taken for over 35 Championship Play Tournaments to be held in Iowa in 2008. Storm/Bosch Financial of Cedar Rapids Wins ASA Hooter's Men's Class D West Slow Pitch National!
Topeka, KS - Storm/Bosch Financial went 8-0 through the 65-team field to win the ASA Hooter's Men's Class D West National Slow Pitch Tournament in Topeka, KS Labor Day weekend. Storm/Bosch will now advance to the Hooter's Championship Series in Oklahoma City on Sept. 28-29. The Storm landed 6 first-team All-Americans and 2 selected to the 2nd Team, while Mysak and Beaver also had players selected to the All-Tournament Teams. Other Iowa teams finishing well were Beaver 5th, 4-2 (Waterloo), Wolf Pack 9th, 3-2 (Cedar Rapids), Mysak Transmission 9th, 4-2 (Cedar Rapids), Frog Town 17th, 3-2 (Cedar Rapids) and Victors 25th, 2-2 (Urbandale).
