2011 IOWA ASA STATE UMPIRE CLINICSSunday, June 5th, 2:00-5:30 - Marshalltown Coliseum Blue Room, 20 West State St., Marshalltown, Iowa 50158. All Clinics will be held from 12:00pm (noon) - 4:00pm. These clinics are geared toward new and veteran softball umpires alike. Each Iowa ASA State Umpire Clinic is run by a team featuring Iowa ASA Umpire Staff Members. The clinic will feature rule changes and interpretations, umpire mechanics of both fast pitch and slow pitch, signals, game management and more. Umpires dress is casual. Fee for the clinic is $45, which includes your 2011 ASA Umpire Packet ($36 value)! Iowa ASA Umpire Uniform Policy -
We strongly encourage all umpires to be in full uniform for all League and Invitational games. Please note that if you are assigned to a Invitational Tournament that is not playing ASA Rules or is sanctioned by another softball organization, that you do not wear your ASA Uniform - please check ahead of time with your assignor or tournament director. For all ASA State Tournament games, umpires MUST have and wear the logo ASA hat on the plate and bases and wear the ASA logo umpire shirt.
